Nautical, Shabby Chic, Red and white, Old Hollywood Glam, Rustic, Bibliophile… There are so many different themes to choose from for your wedding! So why choose a theme?
Having a theme for your wedding will help corral all of those ideas that are running through your heads. It will help focus your décor and other accoutrements. VG Invites has some great tips to help you brainstorm for your wedding theme.
Choose Your Location and Venue
I suggest that you choose your locale first. Different types of places will lend itself to different themes. If you and your significant other are outdoorsy people and you find the perfect cabin setting, you can choose a theme to fit your hobby and venue. Given certain settings, certain themes wouldn’t fit right: a beach themed wedding in an old gothic style cathedral and celebration hall would look funny, right? You might want a winter or a grown-up, Frozen-style wedding theme but if you want to have a destination wedding in Southern Florida, it might not deem appropriate or feasible.
Don’t know where to start? Check out this quick questionnaire to get that conversation started with your significant other. Talk about your answers and remember that this is supposed to be fun. No pressure. Pretend it is one of those magazine quizzes out of your high school teeny-bopper magazines.

If money were no option, where would you have your dream reception?
When you and your significant other hang out with your friends, what do you like to do?
