WORDING WEDDING INVITATION WHEN ONLY SELECT GUESTS ARE BEING INVITED TO THE CEREMONY
The easiest way to handle this situation is to use the invitation to invite select guests to the wedding ceremony and incorporate a reception card insert to invite guests to the your reception. Some people choose to order two sets of invitations. One for the wedding reception and one for the reception and ceremony.
This is usually done when space is limited. For example, if your wedding ceremony is being held in a chapel that seats 75 and your guest list has 200 people.
WHEN SHOULD WE SET THE RSVP DATE?
VG Invites generally recommend using an RSVP date that is at least three to four weeks prior to your wedding day. This will allow you time to contact anyone who has not yet sent their response.
WHEN SHOULD THE WEDDING INVITATIONS BE MAILED?
VG Invites recommend sending your invitations six to eight weeks prior to your event. If you are having a destination wedding or inviting out of town guests, a minimum of six months is best, giving your guest’s the time they need to prepare their travel schedule.
HOW SHOULD I ADDRESS OUR WEDDING INVITATIONS?
Etiquette suggests avoiding the use of labels. Invitations may be addressed in several ways. Typically they are handwritten, printed or done in calligraphy. Gel pens work best when addressing on a dark background such as a black or navy blue envelope.
Outer envelopes should be addressed to guests using the proper titles (Mr., Mrs., Miss, Ms.) Don't abbreviate names or addresses. The outer envelope has the guests' names and address.
When determining whether to use Ms., Mrs., or Miss, always respect the woman's preference. If it is not known, it is appropriate to use the title "Ms."
Invitations to couples living together who are not married should be addressed with their names on separate lines.
Young boys up to age seven are given the title as Master. Mr. is used at the age of 18. No title is used between the ages of 7 - 18.
Young girls are given the title Miss. Then when married it changes to Ms. if the woman keeps her birth name and Mrs. if she takes her husband's last name.
If applicable, the inner envelopes should only have the guests' names. You may be formal by writing Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rossi or Uncle Joe and Aunt Victoria.
Before mailing your invitations be sure to double check all the addresses for accuracy.
CAN INVITATIONS BE HAND DELIVERED TO COWORKERS OR CLASS MATES?
Proper etiquette suggests that all invitations should be mailed.

VG Invites was thrilled to be invited to a styled shoot featuring some of Palm Beaches most talented and creative wedding vendors. Organized by Jessica Niklos of JN Event Design, and photographed by Amanda Smith of Amanda Smith Photography, the event took place at the Brazilian Court Hotel. A host of top wedding professionals partook in this photo shoot.
The theme: Eleven vendors total, including VG Invites, took part in creating their version of the theme. We were given two material swatches and were asked to create complimentary designs using the colors and style. One was for a casual wedding event, the sneak peek is seen here, and the other was for a formal event, which I will show you in my next article. I'm so excited and can't wait to share it! Each and every vendor did an amazing job resulting in a totally cohesive and flawless look that is sure to set a new trend in weddings for the upcoming seasons. From the flowers and event design by Xquisite Events, to the cake decorator at Sunshine Cake Design, to the linens from Over The Top, each vendor did an incredible job. The wedding attire by both Bacio Bacio Bridal Salon and Tux Shop Palm Beach was nothing short of stunning. Classic Party Rentals supplied the amazing rentals that you will see more of in the coming days. Not to forget stunning videography from Digital Producto Films.
A complete list of the vendors that participated in this shoot is below. If you are planning your wedding in Palm Beach County or a destination wedding to Florida, consider this amazing team of professionals who, for the most part, have not worked together as a whole team before. They were so wonderful to work with and are now a part of my preferred vendor's list. We would be happy to help you plan your wedding or event.

Easily create your own party and wedding invitations with templates expertly designed by VG Invites
VG Invites has created a line of DIY invitation and mini champagne labels that you can customize yourself in MS Word. If you are short on time you can instantly download the template of your choice, add your own wording, and print it right from home or your local print shop that same day. It is that simple!
The inspiration behind these templates is the need for my customers to have exactly the professionally designed invitations they want, when they want it.
This sunflower suite is a great looking wedding invitation template that your guests will love receiving. You can edit it in Microsoft Word or Pages on a PC or a Mac. The invitations come 2 to an 8.5 x 11 letter sized page and the rsvp cards come 4 to a page. This helps the budget conscious bride save some doe. It is recommended that you print them on premium white card stock for best results. The vintage style background and sunflowers are part of the design.
Floral invitation designs are not all that are offered in the VG Invites suite. This charming Little Pumpkin baby shower invitation is a favorite among new mothers due in October. It comes in pink or blue and features a sweet painterly style pumping with the words "A Little Pumpkin Is On The Way!" You can edit it for a 1st birthday invitation to read "My Little Pumpkin is Turning One". The words are completely customizable.

Sometimes inspiration for VG Invites wedding invitations comes in the smallest of ways. Today I was taken with a theme for a bachelorette party that centers around Halloween. Spooky and yet fun, this suite will get the girl's swinging from the chandeliers. The invitation features the words, "It's time for Booze and Boos Witches". However, you can edit them online with the perfect wording that suites your fancy. Skull and crossbones envelops add the perfect finishing touch to this set. Seal them with a matching envelope seals. The fun doesn't stop there. Decorate your mini wine or mini champagne bottles with labels featuring spooky salutations such as, "Eat, Drink and Be Scary", "Premium Quality Blood of Vampires", "Drink Up Witches" or simply "Cheers To The Future Mrs." These suites come in a rustic tea stained background, rustic purple, and green. All the ghoulish colors of the halloween season. Click here to order from the Tea Stained Halloween Bachelorette Invitation Suite. Semi gloss, matte, ultra thick, laid, linen, columned, felt white, felt ecru, krft, pearl shimmer (a favorite of VG Invites), champagne shimmer, and metallic silver. The one that you choose will depend on your budget and tastes.
If you are planning a bachelorette party this fall, consider a Halloween theme. Invite the gals to dress up in spooky, slitty, or silly costumes and go out and paint the town. I had fun designing these suites. I hope that you will have as much fun partying with them. Share your party comments below.
